The idea for Simple Elegance was started in 1972 while I was working for six buyers who were working on opening a JC Penney in Massapequa,  LI.    I needed to learn how to run a store.  I went to the manager and said that I felt I could buy merchandise and run various departments.  I went into training and buying items to open the store.  The area that I trained in was women's accessories, lingerie, and cosmetic. After re-designing the cosmetic dept. and increasing the sales in the lingerie, and cosmetic department I was promoted and  transferred to Menlo Park, and then to E. Brunswick, NJ.

At the JC Penney in E. Brunswick I was promoteded and had more responsibilities.  The Women's Accessories Dept., W omen’s , Misses,  & Junior Dresses and Coats.  I truly enjoyed helping women with finding the right garment to wear and then accessorizing for that all important event.  In 1988 I left JC Penney and devoted myself full time in growing and learning ow to truly work and run Simple Elegance.   I started with Plus Size Women's Clothing and then moved on to accessories.  In 1990 I learned how to create and design earrings and from their continued to make earrings, pins, necklaces and truly enjoy creating  one of a kind pieces that truly are Simple and Elegant for Today's Women.

I have learned that in a light economy that we as women can re-design our clothing by accessorizing and are able to recreate a different look.  As women we are able to take little and make it more.  At Simple Elegance we take pieces and make them into major creations and pieces that you will like.  As Women & Queens, we wear our jewels well.
